Hello, my name is Pia Fisher, psychotherapist registered in the professional registry of psychotherapists in Luxembourg and authorized to practice by the Ministry of Health in Luxembourg. I am also a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with specialization in Crisis and Trauma providing therapy to victims of accidents, disasters, domestic violence, acts of criminal or sexual nature or other forms of extreme events as well as general psychotherapeutic and psychological services.

My goal is to partner with you to enhance your and/or your family’s quality of life. I am here to help and my goal is to better understand your problems, help you manage your problems, and assist you in finding a more balanced lifestyle. I tailor my therapies to your specific needs so that you can feel more energized and have a positive outlook on life.

I provide counseling to children, adolescents, adults and the elderly (at my office or at your home) in Luxembourgish, French, German, and English.

I use an integrative approach designed to meet you where you are ready to start. Each session is uniquely tailored to your needs and goals. I encourage an active, honest partnership between us, to include feedback. I focus on techniques that are scientifically researched to be effective including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Biofeedback, Yoga Therapy, Virtual Reality EMDR and the Gottman Method for relationships. My approach can be described as interactive, supportive, motivating, straightforward, and hands-on. There is a strong influence of positive psychology with a focus on lifestyle improvement that stretches beyond mere symptom relief. There is a significant emphasis on the attainment of a balanced lifestyle that is aimed to keep you progressing forward your individual goals so your life becomes very fulfilling and rewarding. I utilize techniques of mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, relaxation therapy, thought exposure, biofeedback, virtual reality therapy, real life exposures, active role-play, response prevention, and meditative therapies.
